Welcome to my website. Yes, my name is Duane, and this is Duane’s World. I am in my last 2 terms before finishing my degree in sociology, so a lot of what I write will revolve around social issues and problems. Of course, I am very big into 1990’s and 2000’s pop culture, so expect there to be a few random forays into that world as well. Some of what I write will be personal, but any names will be protected, so don’t worry friends.

I spent most of my life trying to complicate things, and when I became a father it changed my life. I became passionate about times that were more simple. During the pandemic I, like most, fell into the social media world’s trap. I became angry, disenchanted, and quite frankly depressed as hell over the world that the algorithms were showing me. This is when I found the Indie Web, and realized MILLIONS of others were just like me. This is my story, and I’m sticking to it.
